Shamar Semple

A dedicated Visual Journalist with a Master of Arts in Visual Communication from Ohio University, I combine academic training in public communications from the University of Guyana with a passion for visual storytelling. My work focuses on capturing complex narratives and exploring the diverse range of human experiences through photography.

Outside of my professional practice, I enjoy the competitive rhythm of table tennis and the clarity that comes from nature treks, often drawing creative inspiration from the landscapes I explore. A lifelong cinephile and avid reader of photography books, I am constantly studying how stories are framed, lit, and composed—fueling my ongoing commitment to visually representing the human experience with depth and integrity.
